Foreign, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese parties follow different proof or forwarding routes. Court-supervised video witnessing may be available for some litigation instructions.
Do overseas documents need Chinese translation?+
Usually. Cross-border online filing rules require materials in the commonly used written language of China or translations from a qualified translation company.
Can an overseas party file a Mainland case online?+
Yes, within the stated scope. First-time users usually complete identity verification and provide a complaint, identity/formality papers, and evidence, subject to the receiving court.
How are legal and procedural costs determined?+
After initial review, the estimate should distinguish legal services, court or arbitration charges, preservation security, translation, document formalities, and travel, with change conditions explained.
Is an initial inquiry confidential?+

Does Zhiyi advise on Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, or foreign law?+
The site does not represent that Zhiyi lawyers are admitted outside Mainland China. We can handle the Mainland component and recommend separate local legal, tax, or accounting advice when needed.
